Hans Visser

Hans is originally from the Netherlands where he studied Nature and Landscape Engineering before moving to Ireland in 2002. He has been working as a Biodiversity Officer with Fingal County Council for the last 23 years. Fingal is one of the fastest growing counties in Ireland. The development of thousands of new houses and associated infrastructure poses a major challenge, as well as interesting opportunities, for nature in urban areas. Hans has been undertaking a wide variety of nature conservation projects to protect and enhance the most important nature conservation sites in Fingal, while also trying to improve the nature conservation value of new and existing housing estates.
