Oliver Schurmann

Oliver Schurmann is the co-owner, along with his wife Liat, of Mount Venus Nursery, a hardy perennial nursery and retail space at the foot of the Dublin Mountains, currently celebrating its 25th year. Liat and Oliver trained in Germany under the tutelage of renowned plantsperson Dr. Hans Simon, and Mount Venus Nursery remains a testament to this pragmatic, naturalistic approach to hardy perennial planting, with plants propagated and grown on site at the mercy of the Irish climate.
Oliver is also a highly-regarded garden designer, undertaking projects large and small in Ireland and beyond, including numerous gold medal-winning show gardens. He is a frequent speaker at events and in the media.
