Tom Petherick

Tom Petherick trained in commercial horticulture and spent two years studying forest farming in southern India. He spent several years at The Lost Gardens of Heligan, restoring the garden to its former glory and has also acted as a consultant at the Ballymaloe Cookery School. He has farmed and gardened biodynamically in Devon for twenty years and writes on the subject for publications such as The Times, Telegraph and Hortus. He is also an inspector of organic and biodynamic farms and gardens for the Biodynamic Association. He has written six books—two on Heligan, one on self-sufficiency, one on trees, one on Irish Gardens and one on Biodynamics.
